NICU Awareness Month always sneaks up on me because it’s September, which is both “back to school” time and I am usually “on-service” in the NICU during this month. Right now I am in the middle of a three week stretch of taking care of preemies in the huge Level 4 NICU at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland.
To celebrate this month I will be doing a Facebook Live Q&A session with the founder of Project Preemie on Sunday, Sept. 23rd at 9pm. I hope that some of you will be able to join us!
I am also making an effort to use this month to remind new moms to trust their instincts and intuition when it comes to their babies. If you are worried about anything in regards to your infant I encourage you to have him or her checked out by your pediatrician or another trusted practitioner.
